If your annual gross income is less than £25K per annum, you are eligible to apply for our reduced cost one-to-one therapy with our junior therapists. Applications for reduced cost therapy should be made by email or SMS. Please note that we cannot offer appointments under the reduced cost therapy scheme to an individual who is seeking therapy as part of his/her clinical training to become a psychotherapist or a counsellor.
The cost of an initial consultation (an assessment) under the reduced cost therapy scheme is a flat rate of £50. Our senior therapist will assess the suitability of the client for therapy with a junior therapist. Unwaged, student or similar applicants can expect the fee per session to be £20.00 for once weekly sessions with our junior therapists. The maximum fee under our reduced cost therapy scheme is £35 per session for once-weekly sessions.
|Reduced Cost Therapy||Fee|
|Full time students with no income||£20.00|
|People with no income or income less than 15K p/a||£25.00|
|People with income between 15K – 20K p/a||£30.00|
|People with income between 20K – 25K p/a||£35.00|
We have a strict 48 hours cancellation policy for appointments under our reduced cost therapy scheme with junior therapists.
This means that appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours prior notice must be paid for in full at any circumstances in principle. In the case of meetings that are, quite simply, unattended (missed) without any contact from the client, the fees must be paid in full.
If the client misses 3 consecutive appointments or more, which were available for the client, with or without due notice, retention fees will be charged for the missed appointments. A retention fee is usually approximately 65%-75% of the appointment fee for per unattended appointment. The retention fee will be assessed by the management for each occasion.
In a case, if the client is frequently cancelling, not attending and otherwise not keeping the meetings attended as frequent enough, we are unlikely to hold open offers for meetings.
Cancellation Policy from 06 January 2020
We require minimum 48 hours or more notice to cancel scheduled appointments. From January 2020 we charge a small cancellation fee for a cancelled appointment. The cancellation fee is necessary for the practice to cover the cost of the consulting room due to a large increase of the commercial rent.
A £10 cancellation fee for the appointment cancelled with 48 hours notice.
The full appointment fee is payable by the client if the appointment is cancelled without 48 hours notice.
If the client cancels 3 consecutive appointments or more, the full appointment fee is payable by the client from the third cancelled appointment onwards.
If the client cancels 3 appointments within the space of 6 weeks, the full appointment fee is payable by the client from the third cancelled appointment onwards.
